Cedrik-Marcel Stebe has clinched the title of the Challenger Citta’ Di Como hosted by the A.S.D. Tennis Club Como in Italy. The 31-year-old German defeated home favourite Francesco Passaro, No. 3 seed of the €45,730 clay-court tournament, 7-6(2), 6-4 in Sunday’s singles final.
Stebe battled his way into the championship match through the top half of the draw with straight-set wins over Mirza Basic from Bosnia and Herzegovina, his compatriot Lucas Gerch, 2016 Como champion Kenny de Schepper from France and Matteo Arnaldi of Italy.
The World No. 233 broke Passaro’s serve five times and won 54 per cent of the total points played to prevail after one hour and 37 minutes. By lifting his ninth ATP Challenger career trophy, his first since Parma in November 2020, Stebe earned €6,190 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points.

Erler/Miedler take doubles title
On Saturday, Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler claimed the doubles title. The top seed from Austria beat Dustin Brown of Jamaica and German Julian Lenz 6-1, 7-6(3) in one hour and 12 minutes.
Erler and Miedler captured their fifth Challenger team title and split €2,670 in prize money and collected 80 ATP Doubles Ranking points.
