Roberto Carballes Baena was forced to retire in the second round of the inaugural Copa Faulcombridge Ciudad de Valencia. The second seed of the €67,960 ATP Challenger Tour clay-court event in Valencia was trailing 6-2, 1-1 when he stopped playing due to a back injury in his match on Wednesday against French teenager Luca van Assche, who captured the 2021 French Open Boys’ Singles title.
