Swiss youngster Dominic Stricker has captured the title of the Advantage Cars Prague Open by Moneta 2023. The No. 7 seed of the €73,000 ATP Challenger Tour clay-court event defeated eighth-seeded Austrian Sebastian Ofner 7-6(7), 6-3 in Sunday’s singles final at the I. CLTK Praha.
Coached by German Dieter Kindlmann, the 20-year-old Stricker saved all four break points he faced and broke his rival one time in the second set to seal victory in one hour and 35 minutes.

“It was a good six months. I played well,” Stricker told Tennis TourTalk after his quarterfinal win over Czech talent Dalibor Svrcina on Friday. “I always had some trouble on clay in the past seasons. Even though some of the matches could have gone in a different way at this tournament this week, I’m very satisfied overall.”
By winning his his fifth ATP Challenger career crown, his second of the season following his triumph in Rovereto, Italy, the World No. 130 earned €9,880 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points. Stricker will stay in the capital city of the Czech Republic for another week, competing in the TK Sparta Prague Open ATP Challenger Tour 75 event.
