Alex de Minaur won the UTS Grand Final in London by beating Holger “The Viking” Rune 14-8, 14-11, 16-10 in Sunday’s final. “The Demon” delivered an impeccable performance throughout the tournament, going undefeated with a perfect 3-0 record in round-robin play, securing wins against Rune, Jan-Lennard Struff and Alexander Bublik.
The World No. 9 then carried his momentum into the knockout stages, defeating Gael Monfils in the semi-finals earlier on Sunday before clinching victory against Rune in the championship match.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend in London. I think there were a lot of the Aussies in the crowd; felt a lot like home,” said de Minaur, who finished his regular season by qualifying for the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, Italy.
“It definitely has been the best season yet, but I don’t think it’s going to be the best season of my career. I want to keep on improving–keep on being better. I want to use everything I’ve learnt this year and put it towards 2025.”
