The clay-court swing in the United States continues this week with the 25th edition of the Tallahassee Tennis Challenger Presented by Visit Tallahassee, being held at the Forestmeadows Tennis Center in Florida. It has been a tough week for the home favourites so far. After upsets on Tuesday, Mitchell Krueger is the first US-American to book his spot in the quarterfinals of the ATP Challenger Tour 75 event.

The No. 3 seed overcame a bumpy start against Frenchman Geoffrey Blancaneaux to secure a 0-6, 7-6(5), 7-6(4) second-round victory on Wednesday. Krueger lost his serve six times, won 47 per cent of the total points played but fought back in the final two sets and prevailed after two hours and 48 minutes.

The 2024 Tallahassee Tennis Challenger finalist will next take on Mathys Erhard of France.
