Pablo Carreno Busta has been crowned champion of the VII Challenger Costa Calida Region de Murcia after defeating fellow Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena 6-4, 6-3 in a competitive singles final of the ATP Challenger Tour 75 clay-court on Sunday.
The match began with some uncertainty on both sides, reflected in multiple early service breaks. However, Carreno Busta gradually found his rhythm, raising his intensity from the baseline and reducing unforced errors to take control. This adjustment allowed him to secure the opening set and confidently carry that momentum into the second, where he maintained the initiative to close out the victory after one hour and 33 minutes.
