MONZA, April 10, 2026

The semi-finals of the Atkinsons Monza Open promise a spectacular Saturday at the Villa Reale Tennis, with defending champion Raphael Collignon set to face Spain’s rising star Martin Landaluce, while Italy’s last remaining hope Mattia Bellucci meets Croatian youngster Dino Prizmic.

Bellucci, the third seed and the final Italian left in the draw of the ATP Challenger 125 tournament, booked his place in the last four after a dramatic 7-6, 7-6 victory over his compatriot Stefano Travaglia.

The quarterfinal lasted two hours and 41 minutes and unfolded in front of a packed Centre Court, with spectators filling every available space around the stadium and even watching from neighbouring courts and pathways around the club.

Bellucci led by a break in both sets, only to be pegged back each time. However, he raised his level in both tie-breaks. In the first, he won three straight points from 4-5 down. In the second, after saving three consecutive set points at 5-6, he came back from 1-4 in the tie-break to seal the win.

Standing between Bellucci and a place in the final is Prizmic, the 2005-born Croatian who has already secured enough points in Monza to break into the Top 100 for the first time in his career next Monday.

Prizmic produced the most impressive result of the day by overpowering second seed Valentin Royer 6-3, 6-2. The 20-year-old Croatian imposed a relentless pace from the opening rallies and left the Frenchman with little chance.

Collignon advances, Landaluce cracks Top 100 in Live Rankings

The top half of the draw was similarly one-sided, especially in the performance delivered by top seed and defending champion Collignon.

Facing France’s Luca Van Assche, Collignon dominated throughout. Van Assche, whose mother is Italian, stayed close in the opening set but never truly looked capable of turning the match around. In the second set, Collignon completely overwhelmed him, racing away to a 6-4, 6-0 victory.

Collignon’s opponent in Saturday’s first semi-final will be 20-year-old Landaluce, who continues to impress in Monza.

The Spaniard defeated France’s Hugo Gaston 6-3, 6-2 in a match that followed a familiar pattern to his previous-round win over Marco Cecchinato. After a competitive start, Landaluce shifted into a higher gear midway through the opening set and took control with a run of eight games to one.

“Hugo is a tricky opponent, but I just tried to focus on my game,” Landaluce told Tennis TourTalk. “I played well, hit good shots and remained aggressive until the end.”

With his win in Monza, the 20-year-old Madrid native cracked the Top 100 in the Live Rankings for the first time. “It’s great. Every player wants to be in the top 100. This is a sign that we are doing great things. Hopefully there is more to come.”
