Open De Vendée Returns For 13th Edition In 2026

Open de Vendée

MOUILLERON-LE-CAPTIF/STARNBERG, April 30, 2026

The Open de Vendée will return for its 13th edition from September 27 to October 4, 2026, in Mouilleron-le-Captif, where a new champion will be crowned to succeed Nicolai Budkov Kjaer, who made history in 2025 as the tournament’s youngest winner at just 19 years old.

Established in 2013, the Open de Vendée is part of the ATP Challenger 75 category and regularly attracts players ranked from around the top 50 in the world, all competing for valuable ATP ranking points. The Challenger circuit plays a crucial role in professional tennis, serving both as a launchpad for emerging talents and a proving ground for experienced players aiming to return to the highest level.

Over the years, the tournament has welcomed several players who later rose to prominence on the global stage. Among them are current world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, as well as Felix Auger-Aliassime, Andrey Rublev, Corentin Moutet, and Ugo Humbert, all of whom competed at the Vendéspace earlier in their careers.

Located in the heart of the La Roche-sur-Yon area, Mouilleron-le-Captif will once again host the event at the Vendéspace, a modern multi-purpose arena inaugurated in 2012. For the duration of the tournament, the venue will be transformed into a vibrant tennis arena, offering spectators an immersive and engaging experience. Each year, the event attracts more than 20,000 fans.

Beyond the matches, the Open de Vendée positions itself as a dynamic meeting point for the public, institutions, and private partners. Fan-focused initiatives such as the Open de la Jeunesse and Children’s Day will return, alongside two new additions: the Inter-Schools Open for university students and the Family Open during finals weekend.

Competition will begin on Sunday, September 27, with qualifying matches, followed by a full week of singles and doubles action. The doubles final is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, with the singles final taking place on Sunday, October 4.

Ticket sales for the 2026 edition are expected to open in the coming weeks via the tournament’s official website, with further details to be announced soon.
