Day 6 at Wimbledon produced some of the tournament’s biggest surprises, with the women’s draw thrown wide open following the exits of several leading contenders.

The standout result came as Alexandra Eala stunned defending champion Iga Swiatek to reach the fourth round. Second seed Elena Rybakina and 2025 runner-up Amanda Anisimova were also knocked out, making it one of the most dramatic days of the tournament so far in the women’s singles draw.

In the men’s competition, Alexander Zverev safely booked his place in the fourth round, with Taylor Fritz, Flavio Cobolli and Alex de Minaur also progressing to the last 16.

One of the matches of the day saw Grigor Dimitrov outlast Matteo Berrettini in a thrilling five-set battle to secure his place in the fourth round.

Away from the singles action, Serena Williams withdrew from the doubles event alongside sister Venus Williams because of a knee injury.
