Carlos Alcaraz will return to the ABN AMRO Open in 2027, with the 23-year-old Spaniard set to make his second appearance at Rotterdam Ahoy. The seven-time Grand Slam champion, currently ranked No. 3 in the world, made his debut in Rotterdam in 2025 and immediately lifted the trophy to claim the first—and so far only—indoor title of his career.
After missing this year’s tournament, Alcaraz is looking forward to returning to a venue that has clearly left a lasting impression. “Some places stay with you. Rotterdam is one of them. Missing it this year, that hurt. Big matches. Big energy. My first indoor title. I could feel it in every point. That connection with the crowd. I’m ready for that again!” he said.
Alcaraz’s 2025 title run saw him defeat Botic van de Zandschulp, Andrea Vavassori, Pedro Martinez and Hubert Hurkacz before overcoming Alex de Minaur in the final. The triumph marked a special milestone in his career, as it remains his only title won indoors. In early 2026, the Spaniard added another major achievement to his résumé by completing the Career Grand Slam with victory at the Australian Open.

With Alcaraz joining the previously announced Alex de Minaur and Felix Auger-Aliassime, three former champions are already confirmed for the 2027 edition. De Minaur and Auger-Aliassime were both finalists at the most recent edition, adding further strength to an already impressive line-up.
“With Alcaraz, Auger-Aliassime and De Minaur, we already have a fantastic field,” Krajicek said. “Although the work is not finished yet, I am already more than satisfied to have three champions in the line-up for the 2027 tournament.”
