KRAMSACH, July 11, 2018
The community of Kramsach, known as the “Lake village of Tyrol”, has been part of the ITF Pro Circuit for the 18th time, hosting a $15,000 Futures event from 7 to 14 July 2018 at the local Tennis Club Kramsach, which is snugly tucked away at the northern side of the Inn River and celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.
Nestled in the Branderberg Alps, Kramsach is part of a six-weeks clay-court swing in Austria this summer, joining the tournaments in Telfs, Wels, St. Poelten, Vogau and Innsbruck. The impressive list of past champions in Kramsach includes Ivo Karlovic (in 2001), Evgeny Korolev (2005), Andrej Martin (2009), Norbert Gombos (2011), Daniel Brands (2015), Yannick Hanfmann (2016) and last year’s winner Daniel Brands, who beat fellow German Jeremy Jahn in the singles final.
This year’s field is led by World No. 468 Peter Heller from Germany, who is seeking his second ITF Pro Circuit title of the season following his triumph in Antalya last month. Tomislav Jotovski of Macedonia is the tournament’s second seed. 22-year-old Austrian David Pichler is the home favourite and seeded eighth.
