Pablo Andújar has captured his third title of the season, winning the inaugural Firenze Tennis Cup. The No. 3 seed from Spain beat fourth seeded Argentine Marco Trungelliti in Sunday’s singles final of the €64,000 ATP Challenger event.
Andújar capitalized on three of his 13 break point chances to seal victory in one hour and 53 minutes.
By lifting his second ATP Challenger trophy of the season, Andújar takes away €9,200 in prize money as well as 90 ATP-Ranking points.
Elsewhere, Rameez Junaid of Australia and David Pel from the Netherlands clinched the doubles crowns. The No. 3 seeds fought past the all-Italian combination of Filippo Baldi and Salvatore Caruso 7-5, 3-6, 10-7. The final lasted one hour and 34 minutes.
