STARNBERG, November 7, 2020
US-American young gun Sebastian Korda and Ramkumar Ramanathan of India will compete in Sunday’s singles final of the Challenger Eckental. Twenty-year-old Korda defeated No. 3 seed Ilya Ivashka of Belarus 6-2, 6-4 on Saturday afternoon at the House of Sports in Eckental, Germany.
The seventh seed from Florida, son of 1998 Australian Open champion Petr Korda, sent down 10 aces and saved both break points he faced. Korda capitalized on three of his own four break-point chances to advance after one hour and eight minutes.
Korda will appear in his third final of the ATP Challenger Tour seeking his maiden trophy. The #NextGen star finished runner-up to Evgeny Donskoy Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan last year and to J.J. Wolf on home soil in Champaign. Following 16 triumphs on the ITF Pro Circuit, Ramanathan could also clinch his first Challenger title. The pair will meet for the first time.

Later in the day, Dustin Brown of Germany and Frenchman Antoine Hoang captured the doubles title. The unseeded duo battled past Lloyd Glasspool from Great Britain and US-American Alex Lawson 6-7(8), 7-5, 13-11. The encounter lasted one hour and 36 minutes.
