BERLIN, July 12, 2020
Veteran Tommy Haas and Italy’s #NextGenATP star Jannik Sinner will go head-to-head in a clash of the generations when the bett1ACES international tennis exhibition in Berlin kicks off on Monday. This is the result of the men’s draw for the first tournament held on grass inside the Steffi Graf Stadium from July 13 to 15.
“Competing against such young players is a special challenge and also very interesting,” 42-year-old Haas is looking forward against the 18-year-old from South Tyrol.
The winner of the encounter will face top seed and World No. 3 Dominic Thiem, who is in good shape and finished runner-up to Andrey Rublev at his home tournament THIEMs7 presented by Soccercoin in Kitzbühel on Saturday. In the second quarterfinal, Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain will face Jan-Lennard Struff from Germany. The winner will play No. 2 seed Matteo Berrettini from Italy.
