Sho Shimabukuro has clinched the title of the Road To The Rolex Shanghai Masters ATP Challenger Tour 100 hard-court tournament in Shanghai. The 27-year-old Japanese defeated No. 9 seed Yu Hsiou Hsu of Chinese Taipei 6-4, 6-4 in Sunday’s singles final.
Shimabukuro battled his way into the championship match with wins in the bottom half of the draw over Yan Bai from China, second-seeded Frenchman Terence Atmane, Czech alternate Dalibor Svrcina and No. 4 seed Coleman Wong from Hongkong.

By winning his third ATP Challenger Tour career title, his first of the season, the World No. 239 earned $18,230 in prize money as well as 100 ATP Ranking points.
The Road To The Rolex Shanghai Masters tournament offered a total prize money of $133,250 and took place at the Qi Zhong Tennis Center in Shanghai, China.
