DELRAY BEACH/STARNBERG, February 17, 2025
Miomir Kecmanovic staged a dramatic comeback in the Delray Beach Open final on Sunday, saving two match points and winning the last five games to edge past Alejandro Davidovich Fokina of Spain 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 in a thrilling battle.
Davidovich Fokina was on the verge of lifting the trophy, holding two match points at 5-2, 15/40 in the third set. However, after an intense rally, his powerful forehand sailed just wide, missing what could have been a decisive shot. That moment proved to be the turning point, as Kecmanovic seized the momentum, mounting an inspired comeback to secure his first ATP title since his maiden triumph at the Generali Open in Kitzbühel, Austria in 2020.
The No. 7 seed of the ATP Tour 250 event in Florida struck eight aces and won 68 per cent of his first-service points to secure victory in two hours and 10 minutes.

“It feels unbelievable to win after losing two finals before and then down 5-2, match points. It was an amazing feeling and I’m so proud of myself,” said Kecmanovic.
“It’s an unbelievable week,” he added. “I’ve worked so hard, I’ve done everything I could right. It didn’t happen for a long time, but I kept believing and I’m so happy to finally win another title.”
Kecmanovic earned $103,455 in prize money as well as 250 ATP Ranking points.
