The 31st edition of the Open Ciudad de Pozoblanco Memorial Fabián Dorado, an ATP Challenger 75 hard-court event in Pozoblanco, Spain, is set to feature a compelling mix of established contenders, former champions and some of the brightest young talents in world tennis.

Among the headline names are 2023 champion Hugo Grenier, the only player to have won the doubles title twice during the ATP Challenger era in Pozoblanco, Dan Added, and Bulgarian youngster Ivan Ivanov, the former junior world No. 1 and one of the most highly regarded prospects in the sport.

Several players entered in Pozoblanco are also expected to compete in the main draw of Wimbledon, underlining the strength of this year’s field.

For the second consecutive year, Britain’s Billy Harris and Luxembourg’s Chris Rodesch are the top two entrants. However, local fans will be particularly familiar with Hugo Grenier, who lifted the Pozoblanco title in 2023, and Argentina’s Juan Pablo Ficovich, whom he defeated in that final.

Alongside Grenier and Ficovich, Frenchman Luka Pavlovic, Britain’s Felix Gill and Oliver Crawford—last year’s semi-finalist—are among the leading contenders for the title won by Spain’s Dani Merida in 2025.

Dan Added Returns to a Happy Hunting Ground

Frenchman Dan Added also returns to Pozoblanco, where he made tournament history in 2024. Together with compatriot Arthur Reymond, he became the first player to win the doubles title twice in the ATP era of the event, having previously triumphed in 2022 alongside Albano Olivetti.

Added has become a regular visitor to Pozoblanco and has consistently performed well at the tournament. In singles, however, his best result remains a quarter-final appearance, with Spain’s Alejandro Moro having ended his run on two occasions.

Ivan Ivanov Leads the Next Generation

One of the most intriguing names in the draw is 17-year-old Ivan Ivanov of Bulgaria. The Rafa Nadal Academy player finished 2025 as the world’s No. 1 junior and is widely regarded as one of the most promising young players in the game.

Last year, Ivanov captured the Wimbledon and US Open junior titles and also reached the semi-finals at Roland Garros, establishing himself as the standout player of his generation.

The tournament will also feature several other exciting young prospects, including Colombia’s Miguel Tobon, one of South America’s most promising talents, China’s Yi Zhou and France’s Antoine Ghibaudo.

Ghibaudo arrives in Pozoblanco after competing at the ATP 250 event in Mallorca, where he recorded the biggest victory of his professional career against Jordan’s Abdullah Shelbayh. Shelbayh is also among the entrants in Pozoblanco, adding further depth to a highly competitive field.
