ISMANING/STARNBERG, September 21, 2022
World No. 86 Quentin Halys of France leads the entry list of the sixth edition of the Wolffkran Open by Tannenhof. The €45,730 indoor tournament, and only ATP Challenger Tour event held on carpet, is taking place from October 10 to 16 at the Tennis Club Ismaning, located about seven kilometers northeast of Munich on the right high bank of the Isar River.
Halys, a two time Challenger champion this season on home soil in Pau and Lille, will seek his sixth career crown in his fifth appearance in Ismaning. The 25-year-old reached the semi-finals here last year and captured the 2019 doubles title. Other notable names include Czech youngster Tomas Machac, Austria’s Dennis Novak and Haly’s compatriot Benoit Paire.
The German contingent is led by World No. 132 Jan-Lennard Struff, who led his nation to qualify for the Davis Cup by Rakuten Final 8 in Malaga last week in Hamburg. Local favourites Daniel Masur and Mats Moraing will also be part of the line-up.
